How to Do Meditation Effectively Within Nature

By Mandy Worthington

As I drive home after a nature meditation I will generally reflect even more on my heart walk. I'll dwell on all of the insights I received, what occurred during the heart wander and the elements within the wilderness that I got drawn to. As I do that I often discover that a lot more insights show up of the surface of my consciousness. When this occurs I'll jot these extra insights down into my heart walk note pad.

Then after i get back home I'll generally have a couple of pages of bullet points and a few sketches of insights I usually have received about my intention.

Insights by on their own are fantastic nevertheless they won't make any distinction of the issue or query that you had towards the start of your heart walk. You will have to really do something with the insights you have obtained. You will need to be able to take some actions on the insights that you received in order to have a constructive difference into life.

And the way to do this is to start giving your self a couple of easy questions such as:

'Given this insight around the intention, what is the next step?'

'What is always the next obvious thing to complete, given this perception?'

'How can I bring this insight into my life?'

'What can I do with this insight?'.

While you spend some time with each insight and inquiring into these queries, you will find that there are a number of ways to combine these insights into your daily life.

For instance, one participant on a heart walk obtained the perception that he needs to drop trying to be able to deliver more joy into his life. That is an amazing insight, however it will not make a difference just by itself. When giving these queries about how you can bring it into life a possible way might be:

'Whenever I discover I am trying too hard and the starting to become labor (tension in my mind and body), then I'll scan within my system and mind and consciously permit all the stress to dissolve.'

Obviously this nature meditation be considered a conscious start for him to complete, however the more he integrates this insight into his lifestyle the closer he would come to getting in alignment to his intention, which was to bring more joy into his lifestyle.
