What You Should Know About Deferred Action For Dreamers

Many people of various races reside in the United States. Many people would actually migrate to this country with hopes of better living conditions, more peaceful living, and better paying jobs. Many would come from Central America, Asia, Europe, and neighboring countries. Many immigrants in this country would not actually have legal papers. They may have entered this country through illegal means. Their legal status may have expired too. For these people, deportation would be an imminent threat. Young people who have been living all their life in this country can be also deported. Exemptions can be made however. With deferred action for dreamers, these young people can still get hope. Such program will grant permission for staying for eligible individuals. It will allow them to stay in the country for a duration of two years. This will be subject for renewal. This will not mean legal status though. One could acquire work permit through this program too. Such program was stipulated by the Obama regime. It was granted last June 15, 2012. Beginning such date, applications could already be accepted. Specific requirements will need to be met though. One must then know what such requirement are.

First, they must meet the stipulated age requirements. The age upon entry to the country should not be more than sixteen years. Upon their entry, they should still be children. At the present, their age should not go beyond thirty as well. When the age requirements are not met then application would not be granted. The age should also be documented with supporting documents. Valid identification card, school records, and birth certificate would be included. The entry to the country should be also supported. Documents like immigration records, passport, and travel records can be included.

The school requirements would be crucial too. Being currently enrolled or studying would be important. They would also accept graduates that are at least high school level. Those who served and go honorably discharged from the US armed forces or Coast Guard can be also granted. A GED may be also presented. These details should be again supported by apt documents. Military records, school records, and transcripts can be included.

The person should not also have significant criminal background. They should not have felony conviction, serious misdemeanor, or multiple misdemeanor. This would ensure that the person would not threaten natural security or public safety.

They must have resided in the country during the past 5 years. The stay must be continuous. They must be physically present inside the country upon applying for DACA.

The necessary documents must be duly submitted. Forms should be also filled out by the applicants. The I-765, I-765WS, and I-821D would be included.

The state laws which affects such program could vary too. Some states willingly support this program. Some might not embrace such program, but will implement still. They will not grant state identification, state benefits, and driver's license though.

Deferred action for dreamers would really be helpful. This program can really give hope to many young immigrants. It would let them live in peace, be productive, and fulfill their dreams.
