How Batman Villains May Operate Commercial Debt Collection Agencies

By Rob Sutter

There isn't a doubt in my mind that Batman has a Rogue Gallery which may have the most range of any other. If you look at the array of criminals that the Caped Crusader had put behind bars in the past, you'll see that no two figures are alike. Seeing that there are different ways in which they solve problems - mentally, emotionally, or even physically - is something to take into account. Regardless, these entities have characteristics which would work well in commercial debt collection agencies.

Reputable agencies such as R-R-S would, realistically, not even think about doing work these hardened criminals. After all, it wouldn't do well for commercial debt collection agencies if these characters went about harassing debtors and they would have needed to hold back, which may not be done so easily. However, keep in mind the various character traits that can be put into implementation. If you're going to look into such a gallery of bad guys, the Joker certainly stands to be mentioned.

Seeing nothing wrong with committing crimes, the Joker seems to get some sort of joy out of harming others. He seems to be an apt leader and, if only traits were put into effect, could make for an interesting agency. He's not exactly a fighter himself and if he could enlist the help of hired hands, he'd let them do most of the physical labor while he uses sheer brain power alone. For someone as cognitive as the Joker, it's definitely a strategy that can work.

While the Joker is certainly street smart, it can be debated whether or not he's book smart in comparison to other super villains. Enter Victor Fries, aka Mr. Freeze, who utilizes cryogenic technology in order to further his studies. Forget the fact that he wouldn't be able to live outside of sub-zero temperatures because he has a great deal of intelligence to speak of. He can work with technology like a normal scientist could, which speaks volumes about his know-how and why it may transcend other positions.

It seems like a good deal of Batman's villains play with intelligence and mind-bending more than anyone else. However, these would be the best ones whose traits would work the best in the way of debt collection. For instance, would anyone expense Killer Croc, with sheer brutality, to be able to do anything but good for an agency like this? Sometimes it's best to set certain members of the Rogue Gallery aside for those who can make an impact that will last long.
