If you are sitting the California bar exam 2014, you should start preparing in earnest as soon as possible; actually there is no need to wait as the present is the best moment. Successful candidates spend devote at least the last six months leading up to the exams to intensive studies. Ensure you put off all big plans such as moving or travel and make sure you put aside at least 8 hours daily for five days every week to study and prepare. Do not succumb to the temptation of spending time trying to anticipate particular questions or analyzing pass rates.

It is only natural to feel as if you have not prepared adequately as the day of the exams approaches, no matter how many long hours you have put to your studies. However, do not succumb to the temptation of staying up late trying to take in as much information as possible. Indeed, the best way to prepare your mind and body for the big day is to take a nice meal followed by a complete night's rest.

On the morning of the exam, remember to carry with you valid photo identification, your State Bar admission information as well as all the necessary pieces of stationery including pencils, erasers and highlighters. If you will be using a laptop PC in the exam, you should make sure it has a fully charged battery and bring along all the cables. If you carry a digital or analog clock to time yourself, make sure it is silent.
